Infants & Toddlers

Picture
Daily routines for infants and toddlers vary a bit from the older kids' schedule. Mainly because their needs are ever-changing. The tiniest little people here receive an abundance of attention as they adjust to a new a caregiver and become comfortable with their surroundings. A quiet sleeping space is provided for each infant and young toddler; complete with separate bedding and pack-n-play.  Sleep is an important job as these little ones cruise through their first year of life. I want to be sure this important need is met with the utmost quality. Over time, our infants and toddlers develop a routine here regarding their napping and feeding schedule; which provides a level of comfort and stability....which in turn does wonders for their brain development!

As a parent, my biggest fear for enrolling an infant in an in-home child care would be the amount of older kids moving around my tiny baby who may be exploring on the floor. Every precaution is taken to allow the babies to have their space and sensory needs met in a comfortable space. The toddlers and preschoolers here are aware of our family-like mentality and are reminded that we all take care of one another; applying great caution when around their littlest peers. Everyone wins with this attitude! - the babies feel safe and secure and the older kids learn about care-giving and gain a sense of community.

Oodles of stimulating toys and equipment are supplied during play time. We also make reading a priority at a very young age! It's never too early to expose a child to world of books!
