Our Itty Bitty Crew
ROZ (OWNER/CHILD CARE PROVIDER): I graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a degree in Speech Pathology. I have experience working with children in a variety of settings included a child care center, private family care (nanny), special education and more! I have been working as a child care provider for the past 7 years and am loving it! My favorite part about working with children is when you see the little light bulb go on the minute they have absorbed a new concept or skill. Kids are charming, witty and so creative if we let them be! Over the years, I am amazed by how quickly the infants grow into toddlers and the toddlers blossom into preschoolers!
My job requires me to wear many hats during the day! I am the head chef, "lunch lady", custodian, teacher, comforter, rocker, burper, diaper changer, hugger, activities director, accountant, human resources director, public relations agent, infant/toddler entertainer, circle time leader, story teller....the list could go on and on!
My husband and I have 4 children (ages 6, 4, and 2.5, 1 month). In my spare time (ha!), I enjoy taking walks as a family, photography, writing, cooking, camping, boating, reading and sewing! We enjoy visiting family, including attending sporting events for my youngest brother, and traveling "North & South" for some major relaxation and grandparent spoiling time for our young kids!
Being a mother of young children has really opened my eyes to what type of child care I would be seeking. As I built the foundation of this program, I kept in mind the things that would comfort me if I were depending on someone to provide care for my children during the day.

SAM (HUSBAND/MAINTENANCE GUY/SNOW REMOVAL/OCCASSIONAL SUBSTITUTE): Sam attended the University of Minnesota Duluth as well. He works as a sales representative in South St. Paul. Sam is a big football, hockey, baseball, and basketball fan and loves spending time up North, camping & fishing, golfing and scoping out new zoos or waterparks with our kids! Even though his appearances at the daycare are minimal - the kids love him and tend to learn his name quickly...sometimes too comfortable as they start to call him "Sammy" over time! He has a kid mentality himself and therefore is the "shopper" for many of the kids' favorite toys we have purchased for the child care.
